In preparation for a digging trip at sump 12 we took two 6 litre cylinders each to sump 4. It was extremely hard carrying this size cylinders through the cave, especially when they were well filled (250 Bar). We left our 3Ltr cylinders upstream of sump 3 so we could do a Priddy Green through trip tomorrow. We exited the cave through blue pencil passage.
Another unpleasant trip through Priddy Green Sink. Andy turned round at the beginning of clitoris crawl but not without severe determination in trying to get passed, this included taking off his wetsuit. Phill and I then continued. In the low wet crawl at the start of tin can alley we were forced to squeeze past some particularly unpleasant white slime floating/growing in the water. We were soon in the streamway where we could wash. We also met up with Andy who had free dived his way to the bottom of Cowsh Avens through Swildon's. From here I dived through sumps 3 then 2 wearing just a fleece suit and using the cylinder we had left yesterday, I think I used most of the air from the cylinder due to the severe cold.
Carry two seven litre cylinders to sump 4 ready for a digging trip at 12.
