Exploratory trip to Cerbrus rift. The sump we had to bail was dry so we were soon at the overhanging climb we had bought the bolting kit for. It turned out the maypole from 30? Years ago had been left in. I climbed this and replaced it with our rope. At the top the calcite squeeze was found, with evidence of banging in the past. I managed to pass this very tight obstruction to get into 6ft of new passage and find the way on to be completely blocked with calcite. Another lead in cuthberts explored but found to go nowhere.

MRO Rescue practise. An excellent turn out with lots of different bits of kit and techniques used. Afterwards a few of us practised SRT rescue in a tree.
