Just found your site. Great photos from Tour du Mont Blanc. My brother-in-law and I rode the tour in 2003, loved it.Must do something like that again soon.

Hi Greg & Pals,
what a fantastic website - you must put in as much effort as you do in your activities to keep this site updated - well done.

I came across your site having done Toughguy Jan & July 2007 then researching Ironman Tri.

You and your pals really are an inspiration to us all.
Simon

Excellent to see some sharp end shots of caves. Still not sure whether I'd get through PGS but nice to get an idea of what I would be facing. I only did part of Virgin Series when I went down some years back.

I loved the photos on your Website. I found these whilst searching for information on the Peak District National Park. There are lots of caves in the Castleton area that you would be interested in, which is quite near to where I live. Mick

Interesting web site, found when I was doing some research about Snowden. Where you all get the energy from, and storage space for all that different kit!, I have no idea, but I take my hat off to you. All the best.

Hi Greg,
By way of introduction, I am a mining engineer who has just relocated to Peru from Africa in order to look and explore some new caves, and generally get to know Peru a bit better. I found your site via the Sima Pumacocha website & general search on caves in Peru, and wondered if you you be able to point me in the right direction in terms of contacting key persons from this expedition.

In the interim, my work takes me up to La Oroya and Cerro de Pasco, and the various routes I have tried so far go through some pretty tremendous limestone. In one particular area I have noticed two entrances high in a mountain similar to the one you guys explored, except I think these may be over 5000m. I also picked up a number of other interesting sinks that need exploring. Anyway, I found an Irishman who did Swildons once, so Im going to lend my spare SRT kit and move into a more detailed prospecting mode in the next few months. So at least there is two of us.
Of course if youre (or if you know of anyone)interested in doing another trip out here, please let me know as well.

Cheers
Neil

Interested to hear your comment re. Greg's Hut. I'm the secretary of Greg's Hut Association & we maintain the Hut in conjunction with the Mountain Bothies Assn. If you had lit the stove in the inner room - the one with the sleeping platform - you would have been very snug and warm! There is generally fuel in the porch if nowhere else, though, as there is no natural fuel supply up there, it's always a good idea to take your own. Did you sign the bothy book when you were there? The shepherds were right - lots of people use the Hut to shelter from the weather and a significant number have been glad to stay there overnight if they have been caught out by the weather.
