Extremely high water levels in the whole of South Wales meant the only sensible option was to do something high level, so we decided upon the OFD traverses. Tim did very well with the route finding and there were very few places we actually got lost. We were soon on the traverses and although they are high and very exposed it is quite easy traversing. Matt, who was fairly new to caving stopped at quite a difficult overhanging climb while the rest of us continued until we reached the rather high main stream whereupon we headed back to meet Matt. The plan is to return in lower water levels when we will be able to get all the way to Smith's Armoury.
