Memorial trip to unveil the plaque in memory of Dave 'Wig' Irwin. A very good turnout from a whole range of age groups. Lager was drank at Cerberus Hall and some classical violin music played live as part of the farewell party. We had a very quick trip and were fortunately last people in and first people out as we had to get back to helping at the Cheddar Running Club Half Marathon.

The evening entertainment was an auction of all of Dave's old caving books and photographs followed by a live band.
The plan was to go to Sump 9 for Dave's first trip beyond the sumps. However the usual problem of cave diving kit not liking the carry down to sump 2 prevented us from going any further. One of the cylinders had a damaged valve that couldn't be fixed on scene.

Dave had a quick dive through sumps 2&3 with the other working cylinder before we headed out.
