This trip we decided to go down the old route, which was something different. We then went on to Pulpit Pitch, which is a nice abseil. Explored some of the further reaches of the cave and realized how big and complex this cave actually is. Returned via wire rift and up to Arete chamber back to pulpit pot to fetch our rope before the sporting climb up the entrance rift because the dam had overflowed.
One of the best trips on Mendip. Descended the very unpleasant priddy green streamway before turning off into RAF chamber. Here on was tight difficult passage leading towards the first pitch. We eventually arrived back at the priddy green streamway where we kitted up for the descent and reluctantly went through shit duck. The pitches were not that bad but the rope was extremely slippery .It was good when we eventually made it into Swindon's and were able to wash off. After making it through blue pencil we set the syphon going on the troubles and went to have a look at the mud sump. We then went through the troubles back to the sreamway and got stuck behind the usual caver traffic back to the entrance.
